BREAKING NEWS: 17 Ekiti House Of Assembly Members In Certificate Forgery Scandal

Long suspected to be a well-scripted scheme by Mr Ayodele Fayose to have a firm grip on the House of Assembly to enable him play his games with the fortunes and fates of Ekiti people, The Monitors can authoritatively reveal that 17 members of the House of Assembly in connivance of Fayose forged their certificates to enable them contest the House of Assembly election.
Fayose had during the House of Assembly primaries dropped well-educated people in favour of the illiterate, artisans and the unemployed to fly the flag of PDP in the House of Assembly election.
Sources close to one of the indicted members said fear had gripped the concerned members over fate that awaits them over the latest discovery by the security agencies that 17 of the 26 members forged their minimum certificates required to qualify them to contest the election.
The Monitors can confirm that those indicted already know themselves and have been edgy on how to deal with a scandal that will send them to jail.
One of them, a female member from Ilejemeje Local Government, is already having sleepless nights over a crime that will consume her job and separate her from her family while serving time in jail.

Several others, including one of the most dissatisfied members in the Assembly, who also claimed to attend his secondary school in Ondo State, were trailed to the schools they claimed to attend, with stunning revelations showing that they were never certified as having passed the examinations to have the certificates they claimed to possess.
It would be recalled that last week, Fayose was on AIT accusing DSS of allegedly going to the schools attended by members to investigate them over the qualifications they claimed to possess, arguing that DSS had no business investigating the members' education backgrounds.
Sources close to Fayose disclosed that the governor's fielding of certificate forgers was deliberate, stating that it was one of their secrets in Fayose's possession to keep their mouths permanently shut in times of trouble.
"He knew that fielding them in spite of their criminal records was the only way he could keep their mouths permanently shut. Even at that, there is no member in that House that will say he did not swear to an oath of allegiance before oga allowed him to contest that election," a source close to Fayose said.
Regardless, The Monitors gathered that the security agencies, including DSS, went on multiple tracking of academic records of members, yielding unbelievable identities of 17 members in the House of Assembly of 26 who forged theIr certificates to seek the votes of Ekiti people.
Those indicted among members are already running from pillars to posts, seeking spiritual aid to get themselves out of their current problems.
Some are also reportedly seeking assistance of the well-connected in the society to help them bury the findings of the security agencies.
Will the security agencies fall for bribes to cover this crime? What are the roles of security agencIes in President Muhammadu Buhari's anti-corruption war?
The Monitors will keep you posted as events unfold.
